ak skills evolution show
Show one recorded skill evolution candidate with its base, per-file diff, findings, blast radius, and slots.
Use ak skills evolution show to read one candidate record before you
evaluate or apply it.
Usage
ak skills evolution show <candidateId> [--json]Exactly one reference is required: the full candidate ID, its hex part, or a
unique prefix of at least 8 hex characters. The command is read-only: it reads
the candidate records under AGENTKIT_HOME/state/skill-evolve/candidates/,
verifies the record against its ID, takes no lock, runs no script, model, or
network call, and skips the background update check.
Output
Text prints the candidate ID with the status recorded, the skill and its
base and overlay digests, the prior overlay it stacks on when there is one,
the classification, confidence, and blast radius, each finding, the diff per
file, the evaluation when the slot is filled, and both slot states. Diff text
is neutralized before it is printed; a binary or oversized file shows a marker
instead of a diff.
JSON uses kind=skills.evolution.show with the candidate record under data:

evaluation, applyevaluation and apply are slot objects whose state is not_evaluated or
evaluated, and not_applied, applied, or rolled_back.
Exit behavior

1 | The candidate store could not be read, or the record failed verification (store.corrupt). |
2 | Invalid flags or arguments, or a reference that is not an ID or a prefix of at least 8 hex characters. |
5 | No recorded candidate matches the reference, or a prefix matches more than one (evolve.candidate_not_found). |
